Battle Los Angeles

 Well I watched this film yesterday with a friend,with not really know too much about it except it s a war between Aliens and Marines.....
 *this review will be vague as to not spoil it for anyone!*



It turned out to be very good!
If anyone knows the film 'The Man Who Fell To Earth', well this I would say is a violet, gun blasting and war-filled version of that.....if you have not....well, if I say why it is  like that, it will spoil it, so I'm sorry :)~

Right, it starts off seeming like very much a typical war film, marines/ mercenaries training  and going about there usual routine of...army stuff.....from the beginning it mentions signs of what is going to go on, with news playing on TVs, radios and people talking in the background of meteor showers events that are landing near the coast lines around the world....which is when the mercenaries go out to investigate the problem and protect the people around those areas.
 This is where we first see roughly what the Aliens look like, but they really hazy to keep suspense going on.


So now you get the basics story, what was the film actually like. Well, I found it to be very good. Not the best film going but good and only if you like Aliens Vs Army type of movies such as 'Indenpendance Day' and kind of 'War of the World's some aspects, if you do not, definitely not the film for you at all! It was very action packed from the beginning, but its what you except from this genre of film anyway.

The characters themselves I found to actually show normal emotion and express emotion like normal people, unlike previous films where they act all 'macho macho' because they are in the army. The characters got you to feel sorry for them, and to feel something for them, and I guess it shows how strong and brave mercenary are and how hard there job is...but that's just what I got from it hehe.

The only annoyances of this film would be, talking went on too long in some parts with it being a bit pointless, and the ending 'final boss battle' went of too long as it just seemed to drag on, which got me thinking 'Is this Alien actually ever gunna die?', and though the Aliens took on a very original look to them, I could really make out whether they were meant to be robots, plant robots or just organic robot flesh hybrid robots, which I could really say whether I liked or didn't like hah.

This film is pretty hard to review as it was good, but it has nothing ultimately unique or very exciting and new about it, it was just a good 'ol Alien V Army films which you cant go wrong with watching~

So yeah, sorry this review was generalized and doesn't really say much but yeah, if you like 'Independence day', 'War of the worlds' or even 'The day the earth stood still' then go see it, you won't be disappointed I think.
