Zombieland

 

Ok, I know 'Zombieland' is quite an old film now,

but seeming as I really liked it I thought I'd make a small review of my opionion :).

*Some parts maybe vague due to not wanting to spoil it :).

The film is fast paced from the start, with it getting straight into the story,

and main character story. So theres no long explaination of whats going on, why there is Zombie's with a huge boring speech thing, just gets right into Zombie killing hehe :)

Compared to other Zombie outbreak films, such as 'Resident Evil' this is a comedy with good humour that is not over the top and annoying. I found that this film has the same essense and humour as 'Shane of the dead' but with fast intelligent Zombies like 'Resident Evil' instead of the slow idiot seen in that, which give it a slight feeling of a survival horror, which can been seen thoughout the film.

If you have played the game 'Left 4 dead' you will instantly like this film as it shows some huge similarites to that, with the character attitudes, like a 'Francis'-like guy,and a 'Zoe'-like girl. Settings and sceneory such as the whole redneck towns and a amusment park, give a very 'Left 4 dead' feel, as you see more into the charcter development and more Zombies that show more 'Left 4 dead'-ness.

As this is a very short film (or seemed short), nothing got boring in my opinion as it was fast paced, with good action and comedy to go along side that, which made this film as an all very good.

So if you like Zombie flicks, 'Left 4 dead' or gore as there was a lot of shredded skin, blood and head splattering then I really think this will be good for you :).
